My Weird Childhood and How it Inspired my NovelI had the luck or misfortune, still not sure which one, to live in a very peculiar surrounding.
Castle Before I was born, my parents moved to a small village of Čelarevo, Serbia, when I was five. We have moved into a weirdly located, but huge, renovated just for us, apartment in a big old building next to a late 18th century castle. Ghosts As we have learned later, our apartment used to be servants quarters, and after all my childhood experiences and weird stuff I remember from there, I am pretty sure now that the place was haunted. The house was on the location in village that was on the other side of most apartment buildings and houses, surrounded with big park (castello) and I had misfortune or luck, again not sure which one, that none of my peers, in fact not a single kid was living nearby. If You Can't Beat Them - Join Them Needless to say I was soon known as weirdo that lives in castle park, possibly a witch or at least in cahoots with spirits of the place, where no one would venture into after dark, and most of the year not even during the day. Due to exclusiveness of my habitat I was very lonely and books were my best friends, surroundings providing ideal base for developing imagination. It was just matter of time before I have befriended weirdness that was nurturing me. And weirdness was growing around me, with me and inside of me, until it was time to spill it on pages. So, here, I proudly present my first novel: Dreamemoirs.
