Additional Information:
Programme in Linguistics and Information sciences gave me the insight in different areas of science and society.
In the field of information sciences I became familiar with information systems, classification, data bases and information processing.
The area that I am most interesting in is applied linguistics and its use in everyday life: media, information processing, translating, bilingualism etc. Mostly intriguing as research subjects are psychological and sociological aspects of language use.
Beside regular subjects I had a few interesting optional courses: intelligence agencies, cryptology, forensic anthropology, sociology of sexes and applied psychology.
Master’s work was in the field of sociolinguistics and psycholinguistics – oriented towards bilingualism. My PhD research continues in the field of bilingualism, firstly in structural analysis according to the Myers-Scotton model and develops into the connection of quantum theories with linguistic definitions of meaning and the relation between thought and language.
